Happy Thursday, friends! Today I have for you Soft Surroundings Picks and My Return (to the brand)…..
Many of you know I have been pondering my style at this current stage of life and it has lead me back to this brand I love and now with Soft Surroundings Picks for you.
If you asked me to go to my closet and pick out two of my very favorite and most worn items, they would both be Soft Surroundings Picks.
The one I am wearing here is the MIDAS CARDI, is my very favorite piece to elevate a look.
I love that it is beautiful with the hand sewn gold beading, and that the style is flattering, that it flows with elegance and that it packs with no wrinkles.
I have worn it often over several years. Because I love it so much, I have taken it to the cleaners, but I have also hand washed it with success.
Recently I ordered the green one and will style it for you soon for a warm weather option.
Today, I will briefly review for you my past history with Soft Surroundings, and what I have on my current wish list in my Soft Surroundings picks.
SOFT SURROUNDINGS PICKS AND MY RETURN: HOW OUR STORY BEGAN
2019 was a pivotal year for me. I decided to leave my lengthy high school teaching job because of leadership changes at our school.
While I was considering what I wanted to do in my late 60s, I took a short path that I believed would be beneficial…and it was.
There was a beautiful Soft Surroundings location in San Antonio at that time…all have sense then closed.
The stores were havens for women our age…places you just wanted to be for the decor, the aromas, the products, and the helpful sales associates.
The manager at that time was a wonderful woman I had known for a little while through blogging.
So, I decided to work there for a few months to understand the over 60s shopper…what they looked for…why they liked what they liked…and why they rejected certain things.
This was incredibly eye opening, but it was also fun for me.
The artisan, drapey, beautiful designs in clothing and accessories just spoke my language…and with the impressive employee discount, I could add a fun wardrobe.
However……
The majority of that wardrobe was in the wrong colors!! Mostly black, white, and cool colors that I would later learn were just wrong for me.
Once I learned that I was a “warm” palette woman and not a cool one, the majority of that clothing was passed along.
I do have just a handful of garments, and have the beautiful jewelry pieces I found there.
But, friends, armed with my tweaked style adjectives and new colors…I am ready to return to a brand I truly love.
Today, I will share with you my current Soft Surroundings Picks.
Remember this is a brand that offers Misses, Petites, and Women’s Sizes for most of their clothing…so always look for it.
When I worked at the store, many petites and plus size ladies shopped there.
Also, make sure to often check MY NEW CURATED SHOP where I will often add new standouts.

SOFT SURROUNDINGS PICKS AND MY RETURN: PANTS TO CONSIDER
I first learned how good I look in skinny jeans at Soft Surroundings. Their pants fit well.
These are the SKINNY JEANS they currently have.
Also, in my Soft Surroundings picks are these comfy pants.
The RELAXED LEGGINGS which come in four colors.
And this one is Soft Surroundings most popular pant.
It is the SOFT ESSENTIAL SUPERLA SLIM LEG PANTS…known by many as the Superla.
Currently these are available in four basic neutrals. I would like a new pair of white pants since I wear them on the bottom away from my complexion.
White pants go with anything.
And here is a great consideration for a southern cruise and they come in two colors.
These are the LOHARA LINEN BLEND CROP PANT.
I tried to stick to new arrivals in my Soft Surroundings picks, but these are really cute best sellers on sale.
I have tried this pant on and it is super cute and comfy. It is the SORRENTO FRENCH TERRY WIDE LEG PANT and it comes in three colors.
SOFT SURROUNDINGS PICKS AND MY RETURN: CURRENT STANDOUTS
I watched many women, including friends, shop Soft Surroundings for weddings, and this dress has been a best seller.
I am excited to see it now in this coral dust…it is the CASABLANCA DRESS.
Here is another beauty and it looks so lovely with gold shoes or sandals.
This is the GINKGO PRINT CHALLIS 3/4 SLEEVE MAXI DRESS.
This dress comes in two colors, but I decided to feature this bright navy called Medieval Blue because this color is often difficult to find in nice dresses…and icing on the cake is the V-Neck!
It is the STRETCH LACE 3/4 SLEEVE V NECK SHORT DRESS...a great choice for weddings, or graduations, or any special event on your calendar coming up.
I am going to continue my top Soft Surroundings Picks tomorrow with a couple of new catagories of standouts you may not want to miss.
