My review and thoughts on Your Forest
This is a fun bedtime board book. This is the sun, it’s is here for you. Here are some trees, they can go by the sun, and here are some other forest items that can go by the trees and sun. This board book which I’m reviewing as part of the Your Places box set is filled with matt board pages of some fun illustrations and text. The book also has some rounded corners.

The book begins by showing you a picture of a sun with the text explaning it’s here for you. The next page introduces some trees which can be added to the sun. As each double page continues, the objects mentioned get added one by one to the image that’s building on the left page until eventually all the objects are in place and the sun goes down. I love how fun all the objects look, especially with those classic Klassen eyes. I love the objects that have only one eye especially, as well as a particular object mentioned that doesn’t show up again until the end of the book.

The story is a simple one but ultimately encourages children to go to sleep. It has some great illustrations that aren’t too busy, and I do like how the images show the whole scene leading towards going to sleep, encouraging kids reading to do the same. Overall a great and fun book which is similar to Your Island and Your Farm although I love that unique twist image on the last page of this one.
