My review and thoughts on My Florida ABC
This is a very fun book for teaching children the alphabet with a Florida twist. This paperback is filled with matt pages of some very colourful illustrations and text and I absolutely love how fun all of the pages are. While there are a lot of books teaching kids the alphabet and some interesting words along the way, this book focuses on words that all describe an aspect of the US state of Florida.

The book has some fun end pages which show the two extremes of weather in Florida before the rest of the book has a letter of the alphabet on one page, with a word and a picture showing that word on the rest of the page. The words are different from many you might expect in a typical ABC book, such as A is Alligator, B is Beach and C is Cape Canaveral. I love this Floridian twist on the classic ABC book and the pictures make it really fun to look at.

Each page has its own illustration with every image being so fun to look at. I love all of the detail in each picture and how vibrant the colours are. Many of the images are extra fun too, like the way the alligator is not just a typical looking alligator but one heading to the beach like a human, or the two different types of flamingo you can see in the picture under the letter F. I also like the different take on the image and word representing the letter X, which is very fun.

Overall, I really like this book and how different and unique it is. There are a lot of ABC books out there teaching kids the alphabet but most of them have generic words to learn. This book has some very different words and is especially great for teaching kids all about Florida and the things they can find there. A great ABC book I recommend.
